Compact Green 2007 Exercise was conducted from 13th to 19th June 2007 in two places, namely the Baltic Barracks and the barracks in Wałcz. The exercise was organized by Command Support Brigade, a formation affiliated with Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast.
The aim of this technical exercise was to test communication systems that signal units constituting Command Support Brigade are equipped with, e.g. Satellite Communication that was integrated into Tactical Air Communication System with the use of CRYPTO (coding and decoding) equipment. The exercise did not follow any tactical scenario as such. In other words various means of communication between field workstations were tested, for example conducting conversations on the phone, sending faxes or emails and contacting via NATO networks. A matter of concern was checking the exact time of sending files or attachments from one location to another.
The results of the exercise were satisfactory – the soldiers got acquainted with tasks and they tested the equipment successfully.
