After paying visits to all four battalions constituting the Command Support Brigade (CSB), the Commander of the Multinational Corps Northeast (MNC NE) Lieutenant General Rainer Korff went to commanding centre of the CSB – to its headquarters located in Stargard Szczeciński, Poland. The visit was held on 26 February 2010.
General Korff was welcomed by the CSB Commander Colonel Jarosław Mika, who was also present during General’s visits to all battalions. This time, the main focus was not placed on troops but specific tasks of the multinational headquarters which commands units from Poland and Germany. Chiefs of the Headquarters’ respective branches briefed General Korff about structures and areas of responsibility.
The MNC NE Commander, together with Colonel Mika, also paid a visit to the Mayor of Stargard Szczeciński Mr Sławomir Pajor, its Deputy Mr Rafał Zając, the Secretary Mr Marek Kisio and a member of the Poviat* Council Mr Mirosław Keller. The conversation referred to e.g. the development of the city and mutual cooperation between the City Authorities and the military.
