On 8 February 2012, the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces organized the Main Planning Conference to prepare the exercise Anakonda 12.
In a fictitious scenario created to support this exercise, MNC NE units will have a task to support the Host Nation forces of Wislandia to repel enemy attacks from the north and east. The situation created in such a way should challenge national and allied procedures and doctrines to check if all elements are able to cooperate within demanding conditions of High Intensity Conflict under the legal umbrella of Article 5.
At the Main Planning Conference all participants have been informed about the current status of development of the exercise and envisioned roles and responsibilities. Mutual cooperation and ongoing discussions helped to build mutual trust and coordinate many issues.Â
The overall preparation for the exercise is not finished with the conclusion of the conference, though. It will continue with many other events helping in the synchronization of needs of all elements with capabilities and aims of the Host Nation. Next major event will be a reconnaissance of the training area during which all participants will be able to check whether and how the reality matches the plans.
