The Commander of Multinational Corps Northeast Lieutenant General Egon Ramms together with Staff Officers of Multinational Corps Northeast were invited to take part in the scientific conference "TERRORISM AND ARMED CONFLICTS AT THE TURN OF THE XX. AND XXI. CENTURIES", organized by the Institute for Political Sciences and European Affairs of Szczecin University.
During the very first day of the conference session, the Commander of Multinational Corps Northeast Lieutenant General Egon Ramms conducted his welcome speech for all participants and also drew the listeners’ attentions to the fight against terrorism. Furthermore, Lieutenant Dr. Ferdi Akaltin (Multinational Corps Northeast) presented a very complex issue concerning “Problems of construction of political and military stabilization in the post-Soviet Muslim countries” and LtCol Grzegorz Ciechanowski introduced briefing about Polish special anti-terrorist operations "GROM on Haiti - first Polish counter-terrorist operation? ". As a conclusion of "ANTI-TERRORISM - SECURITY - INTERNATIONAL CO-OPERATION" session Maj. Darius Vaicikauskas gave a short overview about the "Participation of Lithuanian armed forces in peace missions". Finally, Lt.Col Karsten Kjaer, summed up the HQ MNC NE participation in the scientific conference with presentation about Danish point of view and Danish involvement in the peace-stabilizing missions around the world -"Danish armed forces deployed in peace missions".
