Danish Chief of Defence in MNC NE

The Chief of Defence, Denmark, General Hans Jesper Helsø visited the Headquarters of Multinational Corps Northeast.

Gen. Helsø was welcomed by the Commander of MNC NE, Lt. Gen. Egon Ramms, the Deputy Commander of MNC NE, Maj. Gen. Jan Brun Andersen and by Chief of Staff , Brig. Gen. Henryk Skarżynski. During his three - day visit, General H. J. Helsø got familiar with various issues regarding MNC NE. Especially the imminent NATO certification related to Full Operational Capability (FOC) and test, which MNC NE will pass during the multinational exercise "Compact Eagle 2005".


Furthermore, he discussed the future role of the HQ in the Baltic Region and potential deployment in Afghanistan in August 2007. Finally the various aspects of the MNC NE integration within the Polish local society will be also mentioned. General also met with Danish members of the HQ and their families.

Lieutenant General Hans Jesper HELSØ took over the post of the Chief of Defence in 2002.
