Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast is going to conduct the multinational NATO Exercise Compact Eagle 2005.
During EX CE 05 the Deployable Headquarters Task Force (DHQTF) from NATO Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) in Belgium will conduct the Full Operational Capability (FOC) evaluation. To pass this evaluation successfully is a pre-condition for HQ MNC NE to be certified by NATO as a Deployable Headquarters of the NATO Force Structure.
The exercise, which is a Command Post Exercise, will also be an important tool to train exercise participants in High Intensity War fighting as well as to train the staff in operational planning. Apart from the set up of command posts in the field, there will be no major troop movements during the conduct of this exercise.
Exercise Compact Eagle 2005 is designed to promote training opportunities for all participating units and practice command and control at the operational and tactical level in a high-intensity war-fighting scenario. HQ MNC NE is the primary training audience.
The exercise is not intended to represent any existing or potential real-world events or situations and has been in the planning stages for more than 15 months.
