The purpose of the quarterly meeting was to provide the members of CC with the overview of Headquarters issues and to intensify preparation for new tasks next year. That was twenty second session of the Corps Committee since September 1999 when MNC NE was officially inaugurated.
The representatives of Danish Defense Command, German Ministry of Defence and Polish Land Forces discussed issues related with the "after - exercise Compact Eagle situation", budget, the future changes in Corps structure and possible invitation for new countries to join multinational HQ. Representatives of Latvia, Slovakia and Lithuania also join the plenary session as the new Headquarters’ members.
The main objective for CC is to coordinate work between the Nations and to give advice on legal, financial and other issues concerning the MNC NE. Furthermore, it is also a superior authority to the Commander of the Corps in all areas. This especially includes planning, preparation and execution of the Corps’ tasks and missions as well as common train-ing, organization and logistics.
