Simultaneously to the Mission Specific Training, a briefing for the Danish soldiers going to Afghanistan and their families took place.
On 3rd November 2006 the next part of the Mission Specific Training took place at the HQ MNC NE. This training constitutes another step in the preparations for the upcoming mission in Afghanistan.
As usual the training started with the operational update, which aimed at presenting the current situation in Afghanistan and raising the mission awareness among the soldiers. During the second part the officers were introduced to the idea of family care, namely the concept of supporting the families and properties of soldiers going on the mission. At the end two guest speakers took the floor. Their sphere of interest was the importance of psychological operation capabilities, which considerably support the ISAF Commander’s intent.
Simultaneously to the Mission Specific Training, a briefing for the Danish soldiers going to Afghanistan and their families took place. One of the speakers, who was born in Kabul, presented the Afghan culture and history throughout the last thousand years. During consecutive presentations the participants were given more practical and helpful tips on the insurance issues or simply on what to take with them e.g. a flashlight or a camera.
