Staatspolitische Gesellschaft from Hamburg, Germany, paid a visit to the Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast.
On 11th September 2007 a group of 28 pensioners from Staatspolitische Gesellschaft (Pensioners’ Association) from Hamburg, Germany, paid a visit to the Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast. The guests were briefed by Col (GS) Peter M. Baierl. The first part was devoted to the history, organisation and aims of the Corps and the second to its recent involvement of the Corps in the Afghan mission which the guests found the most interesting and educative as the information they had had so far came only from the media. The guests had also an opportunity to exchange their own views and ideas during a discussion, which took place after the briefing.
As one of the visitors, a retired IT worker, Hartmut Schmidt said, the visit at the HQ turned out to be very successful as not only did he get a chance to visit the Corps but he could also see the city he was born in. Siglint Tiedemann, a retired market researcher, has already been to Poland several times, however, she has never travelled around the Region of Pomerania and therefore the visit to the Corps gave her a chance not only to visit Szczecin but also to get familiar with the HQ MNC NE as she has never had contact with the military.
