Commander of the Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast Lieutenant General Zdzislaw Goral hosted the annual Commanders Conference.
On Thursday, 9th November 2007, the Commander of the Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast Lieutenant General Zdzislaw Goral hosted the annual Commanders Conference. Since the main effort of the Corps in 2008 will be the Exercise Compact Eagle 08 (EX CE 08), the conference dealt with operational and informational topics related to this exercise. The main focus were results of the Initial Planning Conference conducted on 29th - 31st October.
The conference attendees were commanders and/or senior representatives of the affiliated troops for operational planning matters related to EX CE 08. The Polish side was represented by the Commander of 12th Polish Division Major General Andrzej Malinowski, with 12th Polish Brigade Chief of Staff and 7th Polish Brigade Commander, whereas the German units were represented by the Commander of 41st Brigade Colonel Klaus von Heimendahl and Commander of 37th Brigade Lieutenant Colonel Michael Haller.
The purpose of the conference was to update all participants and discuss all EX CE 08 related issues in order to reach a common understanding and approach for the exercise. Discussed topics were among the others the exercise set up, scenario, organization, aims and objectives.
