Expressions of thanks to the leaving, and wishes of good luck to the new commanding officer of Command Support Brigade of Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast accompanied the ceremony of change of command that took place on 6th December in Wałcz.
In each military career there comes the time when the service has to end. Quite unexpectedly, just after a few months of commanding, COL Ryszard Więcławski, Commander of Command Support Brigade of Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast (CSB HQ MNC NE), handed over his duties to his successor COL Jacek Rolk. LTGEN Zdzisław Goral, Commander of the Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast, expressed his gratitude for exemplary service, professional knowledge and skills of COL Więcławski, whose devotion and efforts helped to form Command Support Brigade.
Even though the most difficult ways have been already paved for Command Support Brigade, a lot to achieve is still left. COL Jacek Rolak, who has been appointed to lead Command Support Brigade until another person is designated, will continue the CSB mission. It is interesting to state that COL Rolak has already been deputizing the Commander and completing tasks as Chief of Staff since 1st December.
In the ceremony also representatives of the HQ MNC NE were present since the brigade is subordinate to the Headquarters in times of missions, operations or exercises. The Brigade itself is just as unique as the Corps in its multinational character. Two Polish – 100th Signal Battalion and 104th Support Battalion located in Wałcz – and a German 610th Signal Battalion constitute Command Support Brigade. Additionally, there is a protection unit, which is not developed at the moment. The Headquarters of CSB is situated in Stargard Szczeciński.
