On Saturday, 1st December, Ladies’ Club affiliated with Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast, in close cooperation with Rotary Club Multinational organized a Christmas bazaar, the proceeds of which were donated to charity.
"You will find, as you look back on your life, that the moments that stand out are the moments when you have done things for others" (Henry Drummond). Christmas time is a special time when helping others comes directly from our hearts. Concern for children’s fate inspired ladies from Ladies’ Club and friends from Rotary Club Multinational to organize a Christmas bazaar and to help the children of a Szczecin’s children’s home.
Stalls placed in a hall of Radisson SAS Hotel offered a wide range of Christmas treats, sweets and cakes, Christmas decorations, floral table decorations, calendars, warm socks and scarves, liquors, Polish “pierogi” and jars with mysterious but delicious things. More importantly, all these things were handmade, prepared by ladies with the help of whole families. Some of the goods offered, such as beautiful Christmas cards, were made by the children for whom this charity was organized. Christmas songs playing in the background and ladies dressed in red hats borrowed from Santa Claus created a nice atmosphere making all visitors feel that Christmas is really soon.
After a few hours, the amount of gathered money reached almost PLN 4,000. All the money went to the Children’s Home No 1 in Szczecin, and those who got involved in this charity truly hope that this small gift will make the children happy during upcoming Christmas time.
Due to the fact that not all goods were sold on Saturday, the ladies decided to continue the action during the next week’s party for children, so called “Mikołajki”. This time the money will go to the after-school club in Pomorzany district of Szczecin.
