On Saturday morning a great number of participants, both children and adults, appeared in front of the Baltic Barracks ready for gaining extraordinary experiences and encountering wild and less wild beasts. And indeed, the Zoo’s director welcomed the guests holding a huge snake which hopefully appeared to be rather tamed and did not mind patting and touching by curious children and adults. In fact, it was even possible to put the snake on the shoulders and feel like the king of the jungle…In the Zoo there were also many other animals worth seeing, for example big cats, wild boars, crocodiles or Barbary apes, altogether over 300 animals from 80 species. The children could have some fun in a pets’ corner or adventure playgrounds as well. For those who were hungry, specially prepared vouchers were waiting at the restaurant.
The time spent at the Zoo unfortunately ran very fast and the participants had to set off for Szczecin again. However, nice photos and memories will stay in everybody’s minds for long resulting for example in children’s requests for not so dangerous guinea pigs, friendly dogs, lively hamsters or lazy cats…Comparing these animals to lions, tigers or crocodiles, childrens’ requests should not remain without ‘yes’ answers...
