The families met away from the spotlight, for the first time since their fathers and husbands have left to distant Afghanistan.
On Sunday, a FAMILY BRUNCH was organized by the Family Care Centre for the families of those soldiers who have gone on the mission to Afghanistan, but also for those who simply value lazy Sundays spent in a nice, cosy atmosphere with friends and children’s laughter. The families met away from the spotlight, for the first time since their fathers and husbands have left to distant Afghanistan. It was a great opportunity for the ladies to chat and exchange experiences during common lunch. The children had a lot of fun while playing in the children’s room and playing computer games and surfing through the Internet. This brunch and other planned meetings and events by the Family Care Centre have, among others, an important aim – to make people feel that the Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast is something more than a military unit, it is a community of people who spend time together and support each other whenever necessary.
