In December 2005, the whole Headquarters became involved in collecting money for 7-year-old girl - Magdalena Gałązka, the daughter of Maj. Maciej Gałązka serving in the MNC NE, who was diagnosed with diabetes.
The collected 15,000 złoty was donated to sponsor the operation of implementing the insulin pump for the girl.
Now Magda has just finished essential training courseduring which she has learnt how to use the insulin pump and comply with the new diet. The pump has given Magda greater control over insulin delivery, thereby giving her more control over the onset of insulin action. That means she can easily determine what and when she can eat, when and for how long she plays sports, and even whether or not to skip a snack or meal. But what is the most important, she has the freedom from injections five-times a day.
