MNC NE is about to choose one from three command and control systems offered by Denmark, Germany and Poland. Currently specialists from Headquarters in Szczecin are testing Szafran - Polish Command and Control system, proposed by Telecommunications Research Institute from Warsaw.
Szafran system provides monitoring of the battlefield situation and supports the command of the complete command cycle, including the position setting, planning, tasking and control. The system is designed to support the command process at the corps, brigade and battalion level and to provide assistance to the staff using automated command activities and processes - said during the test at MNC NE Janusz Piela Communication Equipment Manager of Polish Telecommunications Research Institute.
The tests of two other command and control systems from Denmark and Germany are scheduled to take place in March and May. The final decision of which system the MNC NE will use is expected to be taken in August.
