To learn about the Corps, to see how the Corps operates and to hear about the Corps’ experiences from the mission in Afghanistan. On 17th April 2008 members of the Danish Association of Retired Officers "Kreds Nordjylland" visited the Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast.
Not only soldiers on active duty, but also retired officers are interested in functioning of the Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast (HQ MNC NE). Maj. H. P. Wamsler delivered a briefing on the organisation, mission, structure of the HQ MNC NE as well as the recent mission the MNC NE personnel performed in Afghanistan. However, that was not all prepared for our guests. A representative of the Danish community, LtCol. Karsten Kjær, presented a Danish view on serving abroad on the example of this Corps as there are about 20 Danish soldiers serving here.
For Jette Og Franz Strehle, Chief of the northern department of the Association of Retired Officers, it was already the fourth visit to the Headquarters. As he admitted, the whole trip includes visiting other places in Poland according to the idea of following the track of history.
