More than 50 members of the Danish Family Farms Association visited the Baltic Barracks on 8th July to learn about Multinational Corps Northeast.
For 54 members of the Family Farms Association of Denmark a visit to the Headquarters was in fact the last major point of their itinerary. During the whole last week, they tried to see as much of Poland as possible devoting their time to learning about agriculture, infrastructure, history and culture. They visited several places in Poland, museums or even a huge farm run by a Dane located south of Koszalin. Multinational Corps Northeast was considered important to fully understand Poland (Polish involvement). Niels Kirkegaard, a leader of the group, already before the visit shared his positive impressions about the Corps with the rest of the group as he visited the Corps four times already. Details were presented to the group during a briefing delivered by Danish LtCol. Erik Michaelsen, Chief Logistic Operations Branch, who was supported by Col. Søren B. Bojesen, Chief of G-1 Division and Danish Senior National Officer at the same time. Those questions, which followed the presentation, clarified various additional issues about the Corps and conditions of life in Poland.
The Family Farms Association of Denmark is a unique formation gathering families that own a farm for at least three generations. Niels Kirkegaard for example is the owner of a farm, which has remained in his family for 11 generations already.
