Eighteen members of G-3 Division visited the 17th Polish Mechanized Division in Międzyrzecze on October 8th, 2008 having the idea of personal development in their minds.
Craving for new knowledge and experiences
G-3 Division of the Multinational Corps Northeast, responsible for operational part of the Corps’ activities, has always been in favour of enhancing professional knowledge of its members, their professional development as well as promoting cohesion within the Division. For that reason, the G-3 members regularly participate in military and historical field trips. This time, the focus was placed on the 17th Polish Mechanized Division located in Międzyrzecze. G-3 delegation with Chief of the Division Colonel Klaus Finck in lead visited the headquarters of the Brigade and took part in a briefing, which introduced the Brigade, its achievements and experiences gathered in missions in Afghanistan and Iraq. A static display presented the equipment of the Brigade, for example an Armoured Personal Carrier “Rosomak” or 88-milimetre mortars. To make the whole event more interesting, during the life firing exercise the participants had a chance to fire a Polish rifle “Beryl” or a pistol “Wist”. The last point of the interesting educational programme prepared by the Brigade was visiting the training area in Wędrzyn.
