With the idea of learning about Multinational Corps Northeast (MNC NE), more than 20 students from the High Schools Complex No 5 in Szczecin entered Baltic Barracks on 24 February 2009.
It is important to mention that the student had an opportunity to talk to one of German officers serving at the Headquarters, Captain Wolfgang Phillippi. His personal story is the best example of how foreign soldiers get integrated in the local community. During his tour of duty in Szczecin’s Headquarters, he started a family with a Pole and they have got a daughter. The students asked several questions to Captain Philippi, for example, how he communicated with his Polish wife.
