A group of about 70 students from the School Complex No 3 in Szczecin and School Complex of Food Economy in Gościno visited Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast (HQ MNC NE) on 10 and 11 March 2009 to broaden their knowledge about NATO and the Corps.
The briefings were presented by Lieutenant Colonel Wojciech Wiśniewski from the Public Affairs Office who was talking about the Corps’ history, structure and tasks. The most interesting topic for the students was the mission in Afghanistan, in which HQ MNC NE personnel participated in 2007. They were curious about the mission’s objectives and soldiers’ everyday life in Afghanistan. The students also wanted to know what was the reason to establish MNC NE in Szczecin and what it is like to work in this multinational Headquarters.
It is worth mentioning that the group from the School Complex of Food Economy in Gościno must have felt here “like at home” being surrounded by soldiers since they all were dressed in military-type clothes, too. The reason for that was a military-oriented class they attended to.
