Delegation of Multinational Military Police Battalion (MN MP Bn), headed by Colonel Jerzy Gorski, visited Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast (HQ MNC NE) to discuss details concerning affiliation to MNC NE. The talks were held from 12 to 13 October 2009 at Baltic Barracks in Szczecin.
Officially, the NATO Multinational Military Police Battalion was established on 12 June 2007. The Battalion consists of the MP from the Republic of Croatia, the Czech Republic, the Republic of Slovakia and the Republic of Poland. The most important task of the Battalion is to provide police support to NATO troops during the operations.
In the course of this meeting a large number of important issues was discussed. Among them there were: a status of the legal aspects of affiliation and mutual training & exercise support. It was announced that MN MP BN is invited to participate in all Training and Exercise activities. Moreover, the upcoming way ahead has been discussed with the proposal that MN MP BN will take part in Exercise Crystal Eagle 2012, using it as a Certification Exercise.
After receiving Full Operational Capability certification, there will be an official act of affiliation of MN MP BN into the MNC NE structure.
