On 29 October 2009, members of Szczecin’s Association of Military Expertise arrived in Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast (HQ MNC NE) to learn about the Corps and discuss military issues.
The Association gathers former servicemen or people interested in defence matters, who meet on a regular basis at the Garrison Club in Szczecin. They visited this multinational Headquarters for the first time, but, as the participants stated, they would definitely come back again.
Major Marcin Walczak from the Headquarters’ Public Affairs Office welcomed all guests and delivered a presentation, during which he talked about the Corps’ tasks, history and structure. Especially the last mission experience of the Headquarters’ soldiers evoked interest among the guests. Members of the Association expressed their satisfaction from this visit. "Thanks to a systematic and simple presentation I understood what the Corps is", said one of the participants. "I am leaving these Barracks smarter than I was before entering them", added another one. At the end of the visit, the guests presented Major Walczak with a small gift, which was the emblem of their Association. At the same time, they all received a group photo, which can be kept as a nice memento of their visit to the Headquarters.
