On the occasion of 91st anniversary of regaining independence, Polish community invited all Headquarters members for an exhibition displayed at the Allied Officers’ Club.
Municipal celebrations
Apart from the exhibition displayed at Baltic Barracks, representatives of the Corps’ nations took part in the municipal celebrations of the Polish Independence Day held on 11th November. It can be treated as a sign of solidarity with the Poles, the host nation of the Corps, in moments of importance for them.
Traditionally, the event took place nearby the Marshal Józef Piłsudski’s bust. A multinational delegation with Commander MNC NE Lieutenant General Zdzisław Goral, Chief of Staff MNC NE Brigadier General Josef Heinrichs and Senior National Representatives of other Corps’ nations laid wreaths at the bust.
Additionally, the day before Commander MNC NE General Goral took part in the official “capstrzyk” (the last post) organised by the 5th Engineer Regiment, supported by the music band of the 12th Mechanized Division.
