The Commander of the Multinational Corps Northeast (MNC NE) Lieutenant General Rainer Korff participated in the German Army Forces Command Commanders Conference "Forum Einsatz", which took place in Lahnstein, Germany, from 8 to 9 March 2010.

German higher commands and units at the brigade and higher levels, different agencies and commands as well as NATO headquarters and commands were represented at this two-day conference devoted to the experiences and lessons learned derived from the German participation in the International Security Assistance Force mission in Afghanistan. Moreover, plans and main challenges for the German participation in Afghanistan for the years 2010 and 2011 were presented, too. 

It is interesting to note that it was the last conference attended by Lieutenant General Hans Otto Budde, Chief of the German Army, as he is just about to retire.
