Around 160 children and adults took part in the next Family Care Centre event organised on 18 April 2010. The visit to the zoo in German Ueckermünde turned out to be a real success.
All guests from Szczecin were warmly welcomed by the zoo representatives, afterwards, everybody set off for the zoo adventure hoping to see all out of more than 400 animals from about 100 species. Among them there were domestic animals but also lions, kangaroos, llamas, parrots or monkeys and many others. Some of the animals were not as wild as expected. On the contrary, they were not afraid of people; especially of those holding some animal goodies in their hands…One monkey even decided to go for a stroll outside the monkey territory and luring the animal with some food turned out to be one of the unexpected attractions of the whole visit. Those children who have seen all the animals in the park could also have some fun in the playing ground.
Even though the children enjoyed the time spent at the zoo very much and did not feel like coming back home, most of them felt asleep on the way back in the buses after this nice, intensively spent Sunday afternoon.
