The families of the servicemen deployed to Afghanistan as well as members of the Garrison Headquarters met in Baltic Barracks for the common brunch organised by the Family Care Centre on 25 April 2010.
It was a nice spring event with excellent, sunny weather, delicious grilled food and great atmosphere. All the participants who gathered in the Jutland Garden were warmly welcomed by the Commander of the Multinational Corps Northeast (MNC NE) Lieutenant General Rainer Korff. Lieutenant Colonel Siegmar Plonka, Chairman of the Family Care Centre, presented the overall programme of the event. They both also congratulated Captain Wolfgang Phillippi, a member of the Family Care Centre, on his birthday celebrated the day before.
As usual, several nannies took part in the event and took care of the youngest making sure they were busy enough. This time the children were training their artistic skills while painting on paper, cloth and glass. During breaks they were playing in the Jutland Garden.
All participants of the event had a really nice time. Everybody could find something interesting for himself or herself and simply enjoy this Sunday spent together within the multinational family of the Corps.
