The Family Care Centre have made the grade in organising the family event for around 130 people, both families of the personnel deployed to Afghanistan and members of the Garrison Headquarters. They all had a wonderful time in Międzywodzie where they spent a weekend from 14 to 16 May 2010.
“You couldn’t get bored,” said Tomasz Droździk, one of the participants, who went to Międzywodzie with his family. There were lots attractions prepared for the small and the big ones. There was a disco for kids organised the first evening. The adults had a good time thanks to music played by a live band. The conversations were held long after all children went to bed. Some people used the chance to play board or card games with friends they usually work with.
The programmme of the next day involved either a trip to Międzyzdroje with a stroll along a seaside promenade or a journey “into the wild” to see bison living there. Afterwards, a special artistic team prepared games and a drama for kids. In the evening there was a bonfire.
Even though everybody had a good time in Międzywodzie, the end of the weekend had to come. What remains are photos and hope for the next Family Care Centre event.
