The Commander of the Multinational Corps Northeast (MNC NE) Lieutenant General Rainer Korff participated in an annual celebration of the 12th Mechanized Division.
Already on Friday, 25th June 2010, General Korff attended the Holy Mass celebrated at the Garrison Church in Szczecin. He also took part in the main part of the celebration held on Saturday, 26th June 2010, at Wały Chrobrego in Szczecin. There was a military parade of troops as well as armoured vehicles, howitzers and other military equipment and armament which were displayed afterwards for the inhabitants of Szczecin and tourists. A special exhibition devoted to the 12th Mechanized Division was also opened at the National Museum. During the opening ceremony, General Korff handed over a congratulatory letter to the Commander of the 12th Mechanized Division Major General Marek Tomaszycki. General Korff also attended lunch for honourable guests of the celebration.
The celebrations were completed with a concert of the Szczecin Military Band at the Rose Garden the next day.
