On 1 July 2010, around 80 pupils from the Primary School No 47 in Szczecin visited the permanent exhibition about the Multinational Corps Northeast (MNC NE) at the Szczecin Underground Tourist Routes to learn about the Corps’ activities.
The children aged 6 to 12 visited the Szczecin Underground Tourist Routes as part of the summer programme. They were very eager to see the exhibition “Changes in Contemporary Poland” telling about Poland’s way to NATO and the Multinational Corps Northeast, the Headquarters of which is located in Szczecin.
Lieutenant Colonel Grzegorz Kołodziej, Chief Public Affairs, was waiting for young explorers ready to explain what the Corps is and what the Corps does. The pupils divided into three smaller groups listened with great curiosity and asked several questions. For instance, they wanted to know what NATO really is, what the soldiers do or even how to join the army.
At the end of the meeting, all children received small gifts reminding them of the Multinational Corps Northeast: balloons and pennants with the Corps crest. From now on, they will easily recognize the MNC NE signs displayed in the city or elsewhere.
