On 7 July 2010, General Egon Ramms, the Commander of the Joint Force Command (JFC) Brunssum, paid a visit to the Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast (HQ MNC NE).
The Polish General Staff has invited General Egon Ramms for a farewell visit to Poland, as General Ramms is just about to retire. A part of the programme was also a visit to the Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast in Szczecin. Beside the fact that JFC Brunssum is a superior authority to MNC NE during missions and operations, General Ramms himself was the Commander of the Corps from 2004 to 2006. Therefore, it was for him not only an excellent opportunity to get familiar with the Corps’ current issues and the ongoing deployment of MNC NE staff to Afghanistan, but also meet his previous co-workers.
General Ramms was assisted by his staff from JFC Brunssum as well as Brigadier General Janusz Adamczak, Chief of the Operational Planning Directorate J3 of the Polish General Staff, and other members of the Polish General Staff, Polish Land Forces Command and Polish Air Force.

Already in Baltic Barracks, General Ramms was warmly welcomed by Chiefs of Headquarters’ Divisions and Branches as well as those officers who used to serve under General Ramms’ command. After the line-up, General Ramms and General Adamczak met the present Corps’ Commander Lieutenant General Rainer Korff. As a memento of this particular meeting and General Ramms’ service in Szczecin, General Korff gave him a picture of General Ramms’ house in Szczecin. After a common lunch with the Corps’ Commander, the delegation continued their programme of visit in Szczecin.
