On 22 July 2010, a group of students from the North-Caucasian Academy of Public Administration in Rostow, Russia, and the Higher School of Public Administration in Szczecin, Poland, visited the Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast (HQ MNC NE).
The visit was about learning what the Multinational Corps Northeast is. Lieutenant Colonel Grzegorz Kołodziej, Chief Public Affairs, kindly welcomed the visitors and delivered a briefing about tasks and missions as well as structure and history of the Corps, which is a part of the NATO Force Structure. An important part of the presentation was focused on the ongoing mission of the Corps’ personnel in Afghanistan. The students listened with great interest and also asked several question after the briefing. The discussion referred among other things to the picture of the situation in Afghanistan shaped by media.
The presence of Russian students in Szczecin was related to the project “Poland-Russia: Partnership for the future”, which is turn was part of a bigger programme “Promotion of knowledge about Poland 2010”.
