On 26 October 2010, Honorary Consuls from Szczecin visited Baltic Barracks to receive an update on the accomplished mission in Afghanistan and the current challenges and tasks of the Multinational Corps Northeast (MNC NE).
The MNC NE Commander Lieutenant General Rainer Korff, his Deputy Major General Ryszard Sorokosz and the MNC NE Chief of Staff Brigadier General Morten Danielsson warmly welcomed the guests and accompanied them during presentations on the Multinational Corps Northeast and the mission in Afghanistan delivered by Lieutenant Colonel Carsten Mørkenborg and Major Tomasz Borowczyk. “We have been enchanted by the warm reception and interesting presentation about the mission in Afghanistan,” said Mr Preiss adding that an interesting discussion has been ensued after the briefing referring to the future of the mission in Afghanistan as well as the role of the Corps.
