The children of Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast (HQ MNC NE) personnel participated in the carnival party 2011 organised by the Allied Ladies Club in Baltic Barracks on 5 March 2011.
On the first Saturday of March 2011, all children in disguise of fairies, pirates, queens as well as clowns and cowboys appeared in the gymnasium of Baltic Barracks on the occasion of the Carnival Party 2011. Smiling faces of all children went along with different kinds of games organized by wives and spouses belonging to the Allied Ladies Club from Multinational Corps Northeast.
Firstly, all children were divided into teams by age and tried to break barrels with sweets hidden inside. One by one, boys and girls equipped with bats hit barrels to reach the goodies. It was not an easy activity for the youngest so one barrel was made from construction paper especially for them. At the end of the game, when all barrels were destroyed, all boys and girls whose shots finally opened the barrels received the crowns.
To fulfil the party with joy and fun, three clowns organised different games such as tug-of-war, passing over the line or destroying colleagues’ balloons. While listening to children’s music, all young participants of the carnival party played, danced and had a lot of fun. To supplement children’s energy during amusement, the parents prepared some snacks and cookies as well as drinks and served them wearing funny costumes.
Not only did children have a lot of fun, some parents also actively supported the youngest children taking part in the competition for the best queens and knights of the party. The children had to dress and equip the parents with the outfit using simple equipment like paper towels or foil. Afterwards, the audience was to decide which queen is the most original whereas knights had to arm-wrestle with one another to check who is the strongest.
