The Commander of the Multinational Corps Northeast Lieutenant General Rainer Korff was among the invited guests taking part in the celebrations of the 15th anniversary of 12th Mechanized Brigade, held on 25 May 2011 at Wały Chrobrego in Szczecin.
In the ceremony participated among others the Chief of Staff – Deputy Commander of the Polish Land Forces Major General Andrzej Malinowski, the Commander of the 12th Mechanized Division Major General Marek Tomaszycki, the Commander of the 12th Mechanized Brigade, Brigadier General Andrzej Tuz, commanders of units of the 12th Mechanized Division, representatives of the uniformed services including the MNC NE Commander Lieutenant General Rainer Korff, regional and local authorities, non-governmental organizations, veterans’ associations, residents of Szczecin and Stargard Szczeciński and many others.
The MNC NE Commander’s presence during the celebration was a visible sign of cooperation and mutual support within the uniformed services of Szczecin and recognition of events which other units find important. As a matter of fact, as a friend of the Brigade, General Korff received the Commemorative Medal of the 12th Mechanized Brigade.
