The Little Eagle II exercise, which completes this year’s training events, has proved to be an excellent opportunity to award those officers of Multinational Corps Northeast (MNC NE) who rendered great service to the Corps.
The MNC NE Commander Lieutenant General Rainer Korff handed over the Corps Medals of the Multinational Corps Northeast, the highest Corps’ decoration, to five MNC NE personnel in recognition for their outstanding service.
Lieutenant Colonel Guido Altendorf, German Army, has won respect for his excellent performance during the Corps’ mission in Afghanistan as a reliable and trusted officer. Not only did he personally contribute to the Corps’ mission preparation process but also was a driving force in incorporating a number of mission related experiences into the Headquarters' organisation and operational thinking.
Major Stephan Behrenz, German Army, has successfully been contributing to the process of the structure review of the Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast. He also “stimulated and actively professionalized the Headquarters in the scope of operational thinking, planning and execution.” All his personal and professional values were proved during the mission in Afghanistan as well.
Lieutenant Colonel Kent Børge Jensen, Danish Army, has been serving as an important link between the Command Group and Staff Divisions being able to complete multiple tasks and positively managing the information flow within the Headquarters.
Lieutenant Colonel Veiko-Vello Palm, Estonian Army, has demonstrated a high level of conceptual skills and farsightedness in implementing new ideas and experiences gathered during the Corps’ mission in Afghanistan he had also been part of. He gained respect for his professional conduct, motivation and reliability.
Captain Leszek Rola, Polish Army, has been a key player in the development of concepts having a substantial importance on the Corps’ security understood in a very broad terms. With his professionalism and deep knowledge, he has earned respect of the Corps’ members and the Corps’ partners, too.
