Multinational Corps Northeast

Medical personnel of Viereck based Medical Squadron visited Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast (HQ MNC NE) on 24 November 2011.

Military and civilian personnel of Viereck based Medical Squadron paid a visit to the HQ within the scope of an informative political trip.

The visit began with a briefing given in Baltic Barracks. The briefing presented by Master Sergeant Michael Rauhe from the HQ Visitors and Observers Bureau (VOB)  not only did provide insights into the Corps’ history, tasks and role but also described how the cooperation between the three Framework Nations of the Corps, i.e. Denmark, Germany and Poland, and the other eight Participating States works.   

Since many German soldiers and their families live in Poland, the interest was also focused on education of kids who attend the Szczecin International School, thus benefit from multilingual classes.

After a hot meal in the military kitchen, the group had an opportunity to learn more about the history of the city of Szczecin during a 2-hour guided tour.
