Mr. LINAS LINKEVICIUS, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Lithuania, visited the Headquarters of the Multinational Corps Northeast in SZCZECIN.
After the official welcome by the Commander of the Multinational Corps Northeast, Lieutenant General ZYGMUNT SADOWSKI and the multinational Guard of Honour of the Corps, Mr. LINAS LINKEVICIUS signed the guest book during an official call. Afterwards he was briefed about the current situation of the Corps in detail.
Hereby he received information about the structure and the mission as well as information about future exercises and training activities of the Corps. Furthermore the successful development of integration of the Polish, Danish and German personnel of the headquarters and the wider multinational approach of the Corps in the future has been discussed.
During the additional walk round the Baltic Barracks Mr. LINAS LINKEVICIUS also visited the future "Partnership-for-Peace (PfP) Liaison Office" within the Multinational Corps Northeast, which will be inaugurated on 18th September this year and to which the Republic of Lithuania will send representatives to as of the 18th of September already.
An official lunch at the "Allied Officers Club" of the Baltic Barracks concluded and finished the visit of the delegation.
