On December 10th Lieutenant General Zygmunt SADOWSKI, Commander of Multinational Corps Northeast, deceased at the age of 57 after short and serious illness.
In 1964 he began his service in the 13th Mechanised Regiment of the 5th Armoured Division from Kozuchów. He completed the officer training in Poznan and took two study periods in Moscow. He served on numerous command posts. In the General Staff he was responsible for development of the armed forces. Together with US General Carter, he commanded 900 soldiers in Biedrusko during an international exercise in 1994. The force was composed of troops from 13 countries. Finally, he became Commander of MNC NE in April 2001. In his spare time he collected military orders and old Polish sables. He left a wife, two children and a grandchild.
