E-mail Print PDF
To mark the accession of three countries - especially of those who will participate in the Corps Headquarters, Multinational Corps Northeast conducted a special Flag-raising ceremony on 5 April 2004.

The ceremony was conducted at 14.00 at Pomeranian Square in Baltic Barrack by the commander of Multinational Corps Northeast, Lieutenant General Egon Ramms and it culminated in hoisting the flags of the new members of the Multinational Corps Northeast.

Accompanied by the guards of honour, Lieutenant Colonel A. Helme raised the Estonian flag, Major L. Vangovskis the Latvian and Major D. Vaicikauskas the Lithuanian one. These officers, who represent the armed forces of the three Baltic States, have been working in the Baltic Barracks of Multinational Corps Northeast since the 18th September 2002 (when the Partnership for Peace (PfP) Liaison Office was opened).
