General Henrik Ekmann officially gave up his post at a ceremony in the Baltic Barracks and handed them over to Polish general Zygmunt Sadowski.

On this day the first commander of MNC NE GEN Henrik Ekmann officially gave up his post at a ceremony in the Baltic Barracks. He was going to return to Denmark, to work in the MOD. Ekmann’s successor, GEN Sadowski during his long military career has commanded the 11th Armoured Division and served as chief of staff of Silesian Military District. Lately, he has been involved in creating the Air-Mechanized Corps in Cracow. The Change of Command ceremony was attended by Polish Defence Minister Bronislaw Komorowski.
