The Corps Commander’s primary mission is to prepare the Corps to carry out the full range of military operations throughout the area of responsibility and beyond.
Major General Bogusław Samol has been the Commander of the Multinational Corps Northeast since 19th December 2012. Major General Samol was born in 1959. During his military career, which started in 1982, he served on various positions, among others, as the Battalion, Regiment and Brigade and Division Commander. He was deployed to Afghanistan and assumed the highest Polish position at ISAF, the Deputy Chief of Staff Resources. At the Polish General Staff, he served as the Chief of Planning Defence Resources Directorate P8. Before assuming the position of, first the Deputy Commander and then the Commander of the Multinational Corps Northeast, General Samol was the Military Assistant at the Polish Operational Command.
