On 5th October 2007 a two-day Staff Enhancement Training (SET) was completed at the Baltic Barracks. The training prepared for members of the Headquarters, both military and civilian, aimed at updating knowledge and enhancing common understanding of the Corps-related matters.
During the first day of the training the MNC NE soldiers, who were deployed to Afghanistan, learned about the Permanent Headquarters, a valid structure of the Corps for the mission time. New security measures, which were introduced during that time, were presented to them in details as well. Nevertheless, an issue of communication system, together with its status and major challenges, was a matter for concern for all participants.
Discussing Tasker Tracker 2 opened the second day of the training. For members of the Permanent Headquarters exploring this system of information management was just a revision since they had already had training in March; some of the deployed personnel encountered this system in HQ ISAF in Afghanistan as well. The SET also focused on a current infrastructure project, which is building a new building housing an auditorium and offices for the Command Group. Additionally, a structure review was presented since the organisation of the Corps is still evolving. Trainings and exercises scheduled for this and the following year were the last points of interest for this training.
